News and Events Classes currently being offered: Yoga Spring 2008 Sessions Mondays and Wednesdays Now at the University Health Club! Beginning Level -- 11:45 am - 12:30 pm -- This is a great class for first time students who are curious about yoga. Come and experience how yoga can make you feel better, stand taller and help reduce the effects of stress. Level 1 -- 12:40 pm - 1:25 pm -- Through the practice of asanas or poses, students will learn to increase flexibility and strength, and develop a personal practice to suit their individual needs. The students will be encouraged to move in a self-paced manner to support a comfortable and mindful exploration of the poses. The course will emphasize both form and benefits to the external and internal body. (Prerequisite: student should be able to hold "Downward Facing Dog" comfortably for five breaths.) Spring 08 Session 4:July 9th - September 1st, 16 classes. Compliments of OUHSC Healthy Sooners, there will be no charge for this session! Brown Bag Lunch Seminars Wednesday, January 9th -- Sports Injuries: The How, Where, Why, and What To Do About Them presented by Mark Anderson, PT, PhD, ATC. All sessions are from noon to 1:00 p.m. and will be held at the David L. Boren Student Union, room 172. RSVP to healthysooner@ouhsc.edu. Please specify the session(s) you plan to attend.
